Settler’s Square in Enoch, Utah is an Alex Meisner Community consisting of pre-built and semi-custom built homes. When building a semi-custom home at Settler’s Square, you will choose an existing plan from those available within the Alex Meisner Community and customize the look and feel of the home from selections available at the Alex Meisner Construction Design Center. Here are the 6 steps in the home building process!
Step 1: Buyer Orientation Meeting
The very first step in the home building process is your buyer orientation meeting. Once you have decided on Settler’s Square, you will sit down with the community Sales Agent, Jenny Vossler – ERA Realty Center. Here, you will select your lot and floor plan, discuss potential upgrades, and schedule your preliminary plan meeting.
Step 2: Preliminary Plan & Pre-Construction Meeting
For this meeting you will meet face-to-face with builder, Alex Meisner at the AMC Design Center in Cedar City, Utah. You will have the opportunity to speak directly with Alex about your floor plan and lot. He will work with you to ensure the plan fits your personal wants and needs.
Step 3: Final Plan Sign-Off Meeting
At this follow-up meeting, you will meet again with Alex at the AMC Design Center to go over the changes discussed at the first meeting, and “sign off” on your final floor plan. You will also finalize your exterior selections (front door style, siding color, rock/stone) at this point. Once your contract is completed and your plan signed-off, your home will be scheduled for excavation!
Step 4: Interior Selections Meeting
When the framing of your home is nearing completion, the AMC Design Center will contact you to schedule your Interior Selections Meeting. All interior selections for your semi-customized home will be made from the samples at the Design Center or at a preferred AMC supplier. You will select cabinetry, flooring, countertops, sinks, a backsplash, faucets, and more! You will also review your electrical layout at this point.
Step 5: Preliminary & Final Walk-Throughs
Once your home has reached substantial completion, you will schedule a Preliminary Walk-Through. Here, you will create a “punch list” of items you would like touched up. The AMC team will address these punch list items, then you will complete your Final Walkthrough and “Sign Off” that your new home is complete.
Step 6: Closing and Move-In
Your home is complete! At this point you will sign closing documents and the title company will record. This is the best step in the home building process, because it’s when you receive KEYS! It’s now time to move in and make your new house a home.
